- What can we do when political engagement is thwarted by wealth and power, when inequalities grow, when the poorest are unjustly cut and when faith groups and organisations are too small to be heard?
- London Citizens has shown when local people in their local groupings campaign together to address local issues even multi-nationals and city banks can be provoked to change and politicians compelled to hear.

Neil Jameson, trained in Chicago and founded Citizens UK (1989), which has trained over 2,000 community organisers. A Quaker, he is executive director of London Citizens (1996), one of the growing network of regional UK groups.
Maurice Glasman has worked with London Citizens’ campaigns for the last eight years. He is Director of the Faith and Citizen Programme at London Metropolitan University where he is senior lecturer in political theory.
