Quaker Outreach at London Pride
Many thanks to Hock Lim for filing the following item:
Forest Hill Quaker Peace Action and Friends from QLGF manned a half-stall at Pride on 4 July as an outreach opportunity.
Friends from various meetings helped to staff the stall for the day. There were also opportunites for tea, coffee, biscuits, quiet time and a Friendly chat at Westminster Meeting House around the corner.
The response from the festival attenders was very encouraging and many Quaker Outreach materials were soon taken away. We also had several lively discussions with inquirers. It was such a positive event that we intend to book a full stall at next year’s London Pride Festival.
